Dear Members,
As you are aware, the impact COVID-19 virus on our daily lives is unprecedented
and is ever changing.
With the health and safety of our membership, staff and community at the
forefront, Westwood will close the clubhouse services until further notice,
effective today, March 16. We all understand this is a fluid situation and we
will reassess weekly. We will continue to follow recommendations from the State
of Ohio and other federal health organizations, including the Governor DeWine’s
order to close all restaurants and bars in Ohio.
We will continue to maintain our golf course, and members may use the golf
course unless notified otherwise. The clubhouse, including locker rooms,
fitness center and dining rooms will not be available and access in the
clubhouse will be limited to employees only. If you have personal belongings
that you need from your locker, you may pick them up tomorrow, Tuesday, March
17, or by appointment thereafter by contacting the club at 440-331-2120.
We will offer a limited take out food program beginning this week and will send
out more information on this under separate notice when the details are
finalized.
Golf shop services will be limited but staff will be available during the day.
Golf carts and push carts will be available but is limited it to one person per
golf cart. Please remember to use proper hygiene practices and bring your own
hand sanitizer for your personal care. The 10th tee restrooms will be opened by
Wednesday.
Department managers and certain employees will be on property at the Club
throughout this process to assist and act as a liaison to the membership. We
are also strategizing to help assist our employees affected by this closure.
We want to emphasize that we as a club community stand together at this
historic period of time. We will keep you abreast of all updates and
situational awareness.
